Trustees
Our trustees have a wide range of skills and diverse professional backgrounds, we currently have a board of 7 trustees and 2 co-opted members. Our chair has been with the organisation for over 20 years and is a qualified Social worker, our treasurer is a Chartered accountant and our other trustees have backgrounds in safeguarding, business support, policy and health.

Graham Liver who presents the popular morning BBC Radio Lancashire's breakfast show.
Pauline Quinn was our patron for many years, we were saddened to hear of her recent passing. Pauline supported the Wish Centre from early days and eventually became a trustee. She used her experience and skills to help us develop and was a great advocate for the organisation and the women and children we support. On stepping down as a trustee it was a great honour when she agreed to become our patron. Our thoughts are with Pauline’s family
Management Team
Shigufta Khan CEO has been with the organisation since 2007 and is an experienced practitioner a qualified IDVA and an expert on Honour Based Abuse & Forced Marriages. Shigufta delivers training on Domestic Abuse, Honour Based Abuse & Forced Marriages both locally and nationally.
Debbie Springham Operational Manager has been with the organisation since 2006, Debbie oversees the finance and business management of the organisation. Debbie also overseas the refuges providing guidance and support to the team.
Staff Team
Our dedicated staff team compromises of IDVAs / ISVA who are accredited by Safelives and Lime Culture in addition the team have a range of skills and specialise in substance misuse, young people and working with victims of sexual abuse, Honour Based Abuse and Forced Marriage.
We have a dedicated behaviour change programme team delivering a range of programmes and workshops. Our staff are experienced in working with perpetrators and have excellent knowledge and understanding of domestic abuse. The team includes full time, part time and sessional staff who come from a background of policing, probation, education and health and social care.
Our Refuge team are experienced in working with victims of domestic abuse and enabling victims and children to develop self confidence and resilience.
We have a dedicated young people's team who between them have received training from Women’s Aid, Safelives and Respect in the various programmes and interventions they are delivering.
We are fortunate to have an onsite Practice Educator who supports social work students on placement and also provides 1:1 support to victims accessing us in a crisis situation.
We have an experienced Outreach team who provide support to victims and their families in the community.
Our work is supported by Volunteers and we have a dedicated Volunteer coordinator who provides training and supervision to our volunteers.
Our staff team in addition to the qualifications & experience they have in Domestic abuse also have a variety of qualifications and training in related fields. The diversity and experience of our practitioners enables us to offer victims and their families a holistic service.
