10k for The Wish Centre!
Back to newsCome on, get your running shoes ready! We're hosting a 10k challenge and would love you to get involved! This is for anyone and everyone, if you're not a runner, why not walk, row or do it in fancy dress? You can complete the distance in one go, or in segments, starting from 1st August - 15th August.
The Wish Centre has been helping a new client every 30 minutes in every working day since the day we formed in 1989. Supporting victims of domestic abuse through providing refuge, advice and services. This event is a great way to raise vital funds to help those in need in Lancashire.
How do I sign up?
Send a quick email to fundraising@thewishcentre.org with your name and if you are completing the 10k with any friends or family. Also if you're doing the challenge for a particular reason or person in mind.
Let us know how you get on with pictures of your route, either email them to us or tag us on social media - we'd love to see your faces! Use the hashtag #10KforTheWishCentre
How do I raise funds?
Set up a JustGiving page to easily share on social media with friends and family. We have a campaign running called 'Listen, Support, Empower' and our 10k event is linked to this campaign. Remember - you can complete it in your own time within 2 weeks from the 1st August.

It's easy to set up your free account and by joining our campaign we can keep supporting all of our fundraisers while seeing the joint total raised! The donations are then automatically sent to The Wish Centre after the fundraising period is finished.

Once you've collected your cash donations please send us a copy or photo of your sponsor sheet to fundraising@thewishcentre.org so that we can claim GiftAid.
You can get the funds to us through our 'Donate' button on our website - you should see it on the top menu. Please remember to add a note of your name and the event!
Or by direct bank transfer to The Wish Centre, Natwest Bank, Account number: 006994040 sort code: 010085 (remember to reference your name and 10K)
